  By adopting LPU architecture over the conventional GPU Grok is going viral due to its lightning-fast inference speed. Groq is setting new records hitting a staggering 500 tokens per second and showcasing a demo that's 4x faster than GPT 3.5. In the most recent benchmarking by ArtificialAnalysis.ai, Groq stands out as the top performer among eight leading cloud providers. It excelled in critical performance metrics such as Latency vs. Throughput, Throughput over Time, Total Response Time, and Throughput Variance. The LPU Inference Engine is available through the Groq API.

  OpenAI has announced the inception of the OpenAI Forum, an innovative platform designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among AI professionals and enthusiasts. The Forum organizes a variety of gatherings, including technical presentations at face-to-face meet-ups, social dinner mixers hosted by OpenAI, informative webinars, and discussions at expert roundtables. • Microsoft’s Europe AI expansion🛡️
  
  Microsoft is set to boost its AI and cloud services in Spain with a $2.1 billion 😶 investment over the coming two years, announced Brad Smith, the Vice Chair and President, in a message on the social platform X. This expansion follows closely after the company revealed a €3.2 billion ($3.45 billion) investment dedicated to AI in Germany, also projected over the next two years. Is this Microsoft’s derisking strategy to Europe’s anti-trust laws of the future?
  
  

• Beijing's Moonshot AI sets record, raising $1 Billion
  
  Moonshot AI, headquartered in Beijing and known as Yuezhi Anmian in Chinese, reached a valuation of approximately US$2.5 billion in its most recent financing round. In October, the startup unveiled Kimi Chat, a smart chatbot powered by its proprietary Moonshot large language model, capable of processing up to 200,000 Chinese characters within a context window. This latest investment round represents the most significant single investment in a Chinese AI startup since the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022. Meanwhile, Baichuan, an AI venture founded by Sogou's Wang Xiaochuan, had already introduced a version of its own LLM last year, capable of managing about 350,000 Chinese characters in a context window.

  Musk discussed the possibility of X partnering with Midjourney, hinting at the image generator's integration into X's Grok chatbot. The upcoming Grok 1.5, expected to launch in the coming weeks, will introduce a 'Grok Analysis' feature for summarizing posts and assisting with writing.
